| Review of the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival | Always There: easyDCP For the first time, over 50% the of features shown at Berlinale 2013, the Berlin International Film Festival, were presented in Digital Cinema Format (DCP). In contrast, only 8% of the films were screened in the classic 35mm format. Since quality and reliable presentation were critical to the success of the festival, all DCP presented features at Berlinale 2013 were pre-tested with EasyDCP, the premier Digital Cinema packaging and playback software provided by the Fraunhofer Institute. The EasyDCP Suite was used to ensure that all DCP submitted films were complete, error-free and 100% compliant with the Digital Cinema (DCI) specification. The EasyDCP Creator+ and EasyDCP Player provided a convenient and reliable method of quality control for the variety of digital film formats submitted from all over the world.
